She has attained millions of online streams with continued support from 'BBC Introducing', and previously toured with Sofar Sounds in 2019. She studied at Goldsmiths University and achieved an MA in Popular Music in 2018, this London-based artist has since released a variety of singles which have steadily circulated through thousands of Spotify Playlists, garnering the attention of a wide international audience.

About 'Ariel'

Following the success of her sophomore album 'Sanctify My Love'. Monelise is back with a brand new single that was inspired by Sylvia Plath's poem 'Ariel'. This new single echoes the transformation of the main character as they overcome their fears.

What do I think about the Single?

This single has a sort of siren-like theme as the meaning behind the poem that inspired the single is about sadness, and it describes a terror of emotional transformation that the rider & speaker go through as they face the idea of death.
