Thomas is a singer-songwriter based in Nashville, TN. He had a passion for music at the age of nine when he started participating in music theater productions. Upon entering high school, he found another outlet in football, earning multiple college scholarship offers and he became his schools star kicker. Even if things took off with football, he had never let go of his musical dreams. He emerged as one of pop's most exciting new acts. After taking off his career on TikTok by playing some covers, he then later on signed to Arista Records in 2021 and has continued to evolve into a fully-fledged pop star.

This song proves that Thomas is a master at channeling his emotions into a catchy, radio-ready hit. Thomas stated that this song is the first proper love song that he ever wrote and that “All of my songs are about love and heartbreak, but ‘Gravity’ is about capturing that feeling you get when you’re in love. The butterflies in your stomach, yell it from the rooftop kind of love.”

This song is a ballad-meets-pop song that is about capturing the feeling of being-in-love and is a love-song that is like if you can yell it from the rooftop of a building or on a bridge-kind of love.
