Jesy Nelson has hinted that she has news to share on her latest Instagram post.

The former Little Mix star, 30, took to her page to upload a picture of herself that shower her soaking up the sunshine on a Sunday. In the post, Nelson can be seen with her head resting on her hand and her eyes staring off into the distance, which is framed by grass and trees under a blue sky.

The singer wrote under the picture, "New era pending...….", without revealing anything about her future plans as a solo artist. A fan commented under the post with "Omg how soon", another said "new music coming" with a heart-eyed emoji next to it.

In May, 2021 Jesy announced that she's signed a contract but she stopped short of announcing when her fans would be able to hear any new tunes. Over the past few months, Nelson has shared shots of herself in the studio with collaborators and footage where she can be seen working in the studio.

In May, the same month she announced that she's signed the record contract, she spoke to Cosmopolitan on how important music is in her life when it comes to maintaining her mental health, saying "For people to think I would just stop working completely is crazy because [for] me, working on my mental health is going to the studio, and creating music that I love, that's what clears my head and makes me happy. It's good for my mental health. I couldn't deal with the pleasure of being in the girl group."

Jesy won the 'X Factor' as one fourth of girl band 'Little Mix' back in 2011. She was in the band until 2020 alongside Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, and Jade Thirwall. The band, together, sold over sixty million records, which makes them one of the biggest girl bands of all time.

In December of last year, Jesy announced she would be leaving the band, while the rest of the girls - who have continued as a trio- stated that: "This is an incredibly sad time for all of us but we are fully supportive of Jesy... We love her very much and agree that it is important that she does what is right for her mental health and well-being." Jesy also released a statement that read: "The truth is, recently, being in the band has really taken a toll on my mental health. I find the constant pressure of being in a girl group and living up to expectations very hard. There comes a time in life when we need to reinvest in taking care of ourselves rather than focusing on making other people happy, and I feel like now is the time to begin that process. So after much consideration and a heavy heart, I'm announcing I'm leaving Little Mix."

I cannot wait for what Jesy has in store for her fans
