Ginkgo Balboa releases ‘Tie Me Down’

About Ginkgo Balboa:

This group was founded by Mike Bednarsky and Ben Masbum in 2019. The group had 8 singles between their self titled EP in 2020, and their upcoming EP ‘Balloon Duty’, they developed a following in praise of the contemporary sound, which is rooted with a catchy synth keyboard melodies, intricate guitar trills, and the pinballing vocals of Ben and Mike. The group has pushed the envelope by seamlessly drawing influence from a variety of music genres, but never stepping away from the pop-genre & sensibilities that gives the band the Millenium/Gen-Z appeal.

About Tie Me Down:

This song is the opening track of Ginkgo Balboa’s new-and-upcoming EP ‘Balloon Duty’ (EP releases on July 28). ‘Tie Me Down’ is a song that is built by a unshakeable hook and confident guitar strides.

What I think about the single:

This song has a vibe that screams summer-vacation-at-the-beach and the instrumental (with the guitar strides & the contemporary-pop sound) is soothing to listen to that it could possibly be the song of the summer.
