About Ginkgo Balboa:

This group was founded by Mike Bednarsky and Ben Masbum in 2019. The group had 8 singles between their self titled EP in 2020, and their upcoming EP ‘Balloon Duty’, they developed a following in praise of the contemporary sound, which is rooted with a catchy synth keyboard melodies, intricate guitar trills, and the pinballing vocals of Ben and Mike. The group has pushed the envelope by seamlessly drawing influence from a variety of music genres, but never stepping away from the pop-genre & sensibilities that gives the band the Millennium/Gen-Z appeal.

About 'Palm Trees':

'Palm Trees' is the second song off of their forthcoming EP 'Balloon Duty'. This song tells a story of two lovers embarking on a weekend getaway. Despite the fact that everything goes wrong around them--the hot tub is broken at their Air B&B, for example--they still make the most of the situation. This song serves as the perfect reminder that love can make even the most non-ideal, most imperfect of situations extraordinary and turn those moments into special memories that will last a lifetime, because it's love that creates the magic, not a certain place or thing.

What I Thought About The Single:

When comparing this song to 'Tie Me Down', this song has a upbeat tempo and based on the instrumental, it gives a 'vacation-on-a-tropical-island-like' vibe.
