Ellie Grace Herrold is a singer-songwriter based in Nashville, TN. She states that her style of music is similar to Taylor Swift and Gracie Abrams and that with each song she releases comes from the depths of my thoughts and intimacy, she likes to keep it as real and raw as possible to allow the listeners to relate in different ways.

About "Empty":

Ellie stated that she wrote 'Empty' at 3 AM when she couldn’t go to sleep and figured that she might as well pour out her thoughts into songwriting and after she wrote what she had thought out, the song built itself. During production, Trent Hays was able to capture the hazy, introspective, cathartic feeling of the song. Adding on, she stated that the production of the ambient ending, is “as if the song ends in a dream as if the mental breakdown is now over, & it’s time to go back to bed."

What I thought about the single:

The song has an amazing instrumental and has interesting lyrics and a very deep meaning behind it.
