About the AUNTS:

They are a group that consists of 4

childhood friends who decided that it was time to get in a room together to write, fight and play their way into a new passion project. And what came of this union was both a tribute to the music scenes that shaped them growing up and a newfound respect for progressive composition. Fans of the Long Island scene (Taking Back Sunday, Glassjaw, The Movie Life), The Boston/Worcester scene (Four Year Strong, The Hotelier), and Midwest emo stylings will find themselves right at home in the Aunts discography. In May 2020, they released their debut EP, “The Last Great Place”, a five-track project consisting of riffs and ideas written before the band came to fruition which is heavily influenced by the mid-2000s post-hardcore, pop-punk and emo scenes, mixed with a compositionally progressive flair, and it quickly garnered attention from the local Connecticut scene, and then, COVID happened. Unphased by the inability to support the project live, they began work on their upcoming full-length record and continued working on their tight live performance. Once live shows began to happen, the new songs found the band right at home sharing the stage with acts spanning from pop rock to progressive metal, providing something for all audiences to connect with. After playing dozens of shows across the state of Connecticut since their inception, the band is excited to spend the coming year supporting the release of the new record all across New England.

About 'Revisionist Tactics':

Released on March 3rd, 'Revisionist Tactics' is their first full-length record. This eleven-track album finds the band exploring themes of nostalgia, memory, discontentment with the status quo, and the events that led them to who they are. Revisionist Tactics refers to the frailty of memory; as we grow farther from our defining moments, recollection finds itself further from the truth of those moments, for better or worse. We unknowingly “revise” our history, giving new life to experiences long since past.
