About 'Addicted to The Ocean'
Elisha explained that the song had its origins as an idea she had at the age of 16, but she didn't develop it into a song until she turned 17 and began writing music more seriously. It technically became the second 'proper' song she ever wrote. She aimed for it to be a surf-style summer single with vibes reminiscent of Avicii's 'The Nights', all while staying true to her acoustic style. The song was produced by Elisha and Edmund Woodiwiss. She took influences from Ed Sheeran's 'South of the Border (feat. Camila Cabello and Cardi B.)' and Hailee Steinfeld's 'Coast (feat. Anderson Paak)'.
About 'Addicted to The Ocean'
I love how the song has a very acoustic vibe mixed with a summer-like vibe, and how the song has a very nostalgic vibe to it.
