About Moy Cohen

Moy Cohen is an alt-pop British-Mexican Singer-songwriter based in Australia. He has an unmistakable voice that has drawn comparisons to that of Coldplay's Chris Martin. As a self-taught musician, he plays guitar and piano and has been
writing his own songs since the age of 13. Since then, he has cultivated a gentle, yet powerful songwriting style, which results in stunning compositions that feature rich melodies and introspective lyrics that are both profound and poetic.

Moy has played his first headline show in Mexico back in 2021 and continues to enchant audiences wherever he plays. His songs have been heard on BBC Music Introducing and his song 'Ocean' was featured in The CW's Hit Show 'Walker'.
About 'Childhood Photographs'

'Childhood Photographs' offers a glimpse into the emotional journey of a young boy who faced challenges in finding his place in the world during his formative years. Turning to music for comfort, he found his own identity amidst the turmoil of his parents' separation. Following a move to his grandparents' home, Moy composed this song using a guitar gifted to him by his grandfather, delving into themes such as life changes, the unease of transitions, and the longing for stability.
This single follows the success of his singles 'Pick Up the Pieces', 'Ocean', Against the Wind', and 'Stick Around'. The single is the fifth single from his upcoming EP 'Overgrown' which was produced in Mexico City and mixed by multi-Grammy Award-winning engineer Jerry Boy, and is set to be released in August.
What I thought about the single
This single is very relatable and it is like an alt-pop meets a ballad-like song as it has themes of life changes, transitions and longing for stability and trying to find yourself amidst all the turmoils.
